In the first edition for 2011, our theme is Action or Behaviour, the result of cognitively processed thoughts and emotions.  We examine the impact of behaviour and techniques to modify or manage it both at work and at home.  We review James Redfield's international bestseller 'The Celestine Prophecy - An Adventure' and the action-packed film 'Transformers - Protect'.

EmotionsNovember 2010

In the final edition for 2010, we focus on Emotions, their role in our lives and the importance of managing their impact.  We review Daniel Goleman's bestseller 'Emotional Intelligence' and a classic tear-jerker of a film 'The Joy Luck Club' based on Amy Tan's novel.

Thoughts

In this edition, we focus on Cognitive Thought and identify that harnessing the power of thought enables us to change our perspective and often change our lives.  We review Dr. Norman Doidge's international bestseller 'The BRAIN That CHANGES ITSELF' and the recent movie 'Sherlock Holmes' starring Robert Downey Jr for its cinematic portrayal of mental rehearsal.

BeliefsJuly 2010

Our focus this month is on Belief and Meaning and the importance of this cognitive element in our career and personal life.  We take a look at Dr. Viktor Frankl's life in the German concentration camps of World War II as detailed within his book 'Man's Search for Meaning' and review the recently released film 'Invictus' starring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela.

Core Values
