Academic Background
Diana graduated from Victoria University (Wellington NZ, 1999) with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce & Administration (majors: Accounting, Commercial Law, Information Systems) and a Bachelor Degree in Science (major: Computer Science).
In 2002, Diana qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICANZ, NZ) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (ISACA, USA).
In 2009, Diana graduated with a Diploma in Life Coaching (LCIA, AUS). She is skilled in the use of tools and techniques such as Solution-Focused, Narrative and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching as well as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
Diana is an Accredited Professional Coach with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Coaching (ANZI Coaching, AUS). She is also a Member of the International Coach Federation (ICF, USA).
Professional Experience
Selecting PricewaterhouseCoopers from the top five international Accounting / Business Advisory firms, Diana obtained professional / corporate experience from consulting with companies such as Telecom (NZ) Ltd, Westpac Trust (NZ) Ltd and Shell Oil (NZ) Ltd. She progressed rapidly through the organisation, promoted to Experienced Senior Associate after three years in practice, 2001.
As a senior, Diana enjoyed coaching the younger associates in her team regarding their careers and personal development.
To enhance her personal and professional development overseas, Diana travelled around Western Europe and lived in London for 12 months. She worked as an Internal Auditor for Peabody Trust, a company responsible for social housing in London.
Returning home and migrating to Melbourne in 2003, Diana sought a career change that would provide new challenges and experiences within the Information Technology industry. As a Consultant for Info Tech Accounting Pty Ltd, a management consulting firm based in Melbourne, Diana worked with clients such as Verbatim (Aust.) Pty Ltd, The RealEstate Group and Swisse Vitamins (Aust.) Pty Ltd. Diana progressed through the organisation, beginning at Help Desk Support (Level 1) and leaving as Project Manager / Senior Lead Consultant (reporting to the Directors on Senior Management Team initiatives) in 2009.
Most rewarding of all were the continuing opportunities to motivate other consultants in her Team and to watch them shine!
In 2010, Diana established the SMART Career and Life Coaching Trust, an organisation dedicated to providing accessible and affordable career/life coaching services and to educating the general public on the benefits of coaching.
Life Experience
Travel throughout life has provided Diana with insight and a deeper respect for the multi-cultural society that we form today. We each have our story to share!
In 2007, Diana accomplished her greatest achievement yet, giving birth to her beautiful daughter Emily (naturally and peacefully thanks to Hypno-Birthing). In 2011, Diana repeated this accomplishment with the birth of her son Brendan.
Dedicated to being the best she can be for herself and her family, the decisions to live a more organic, healthy lifestyle and to return to study as a Career/Life Coach were easy to make.
Diana is determined to make a positive difference in the lives of others - their successes giving meaning to her own life's work.
